Baltimore, Maryland Indian Wedding by Photographick Studios

After their garba and traditional Hindu wedding in Potomac, Maryland, we cruise on over to Baltimore to attend Maharani Hetal's dream reception. She took inspiration from her lovely fuschia sari, and did the (almost) unthinkable: she cut off a piece in order to have custom fabric for her head table and overlays made! Wow, that's dedication!
Photographick Studios documents the gorgeous reception hall, which was filled with the bride's personal touches. My favorite is the lucky bamboo centerpieces, which was meant to bring good luck and prosperity to her guests. And since the couple first met during a garba event at the University of Maryland, you can bet there was plenty of dancing at their reception. According to the bride, "By the time the reception rolled around, everyone had huge blisters from the three days of intense dancing! But I don't remember a minute at the reception where the dance floor was empty."

Another great Indian wedding down...countless others to go! We'll see you back here tomorrow for a fabulous Boston, Massachusetts affair!

A successful Indian wedding should always have elements that make it uniquely yours, and this is exactly what Maharani Hetal and groom Divyang have done. I bet you didn't think that their traditional Hindu wedding ceremony would soon turn into a stylish car ad! This modern couple go for a bold pink for their reception outfits, and Apsara Spa helps our bride turn up the volume by letting her hair down in gorgeous curls.
Maharani Hetal explains the inspiration behind this lovely pink hue: "The princess in me always wanted a fuchsia pink outfit for my wedding reception, so that is exactly what I found during my short trip to India."

Don't you go away. Photographick Studios takes us to the conclusion of this Maryland Indian wedding next!

For their traditional Hindu wedding, bride Hetal and groom Divyang embraced the classic red, white and gold decor. But to spice things up, the couple introduced a rust orange into the bridesmaids' saris and kurtas. Why? "It's one color that both Divyang and I have loved since we started dating seven years ago," explained the Maharani.
Photographick Studios documents this group of good lookin' people, and then takes Maharani Hetal and Divyang away for some intimate wedding portraits. I think the green landscape and barn (also a rust orange!) in the backdrop makes these photos timeless!

Take one last look at this couple, because they're about to get things "revved up" for their reception!

Our Maharani Hetal looked amazing at her garba, but now she looks like a TRUE Maharani! With amazing makeup and hair done by Apsara Spa, our bride looks simply flushed and radiant. (And judging from the smile behind his veil, groom Divyang also likes what he sees!) Photographick Studios takes us into this traditional Hindu ceremony at the Julia Bindeman Hebrew Congregation Center to show us the beautiful details chosen by Maharani Hetal herself. According to the bride, "The simple decor was very important to us because we wanted the emphasis of our wedding ceremony to be our love for each other."
Look through these lovely photos and ask yourself if you can feel the love...I sure do!

More from Maharani Hetal: "Since we got engaged and continuously stalked Maharaniweddings.com and many of our family and friends' wedding pictures, we decided we wanted a traditional Hindu wedding. I adore the brides that try new colors but what I loved even more was the elegance of the traditional red, gold, and white decor. We decided we weren't going to have too many flashy things, but opted for a simple white mandap with a red backdrop to correspond with our outfits. Our theatrical style seating chairs had white chair-covers with alternating red and gold colored satin net bows."
Next up we have some lovely wedding portraits!

The infectious spirit of Maharani Hetal and groom Divyang's garba didn't die as the sun went down. As Photographick Studios shows us, the energy was transferred straight into the baraat! Divyang, dressed in a handsome burgundy sherwani with gold detail, arrives triumphantly at the Julia Bindeman Hebrew Congregation Center to claim his bride. Riding upon a regal white horse from Spring Fever Farm’s Dancing Horses, our groom is the vision of pride and joy. According to our Maharani Hetal, "Even on the day of the wedding, his family came "bhangra-ing," while my family met his "garbaing" and then did a mix of both." So fun!

There's still so much to see! Let's head into the Hindu ceremony and see what this couple's got in store for us.
